Your donations mean thriving for survivors! With the support of our community, SafePlace is able to insure that those who are often at the lowest points in their lives are able to receive life changing tools, solutions, and resources they may not have had access to otherwise.
As SafePlace continues to grow and evolve with our communities needs, we again sincerely thank you for your commitment in growing with us and for your support of those who need SafePlace now more than ever. Our mission is a collaborative effort, and we are so grateful to have you on our team.
SafePlace is a 501c3 nonprofit, E-ID 91-1153988. Donations are tax deductible under the full extent of the law.

More Ways to Give!
Donate Goods
Donations of items help SafePlace clients access life-sustaining basic needs supplies. We only accept items off of our Wish List. If you have items you'd like to donate, please call our Business Line ahead of time just to make sure we can accept your gift. Or, check out our Amazon Wish List and donate from home.
Become a Foundation Builder
Join our committed donors with a regular monthly donation. These gifts provide a reliable financial foundation on which SafePlace can depend. Visit our Foundation Builders Monthly Giving Club page for more information. To become a Foundation Builder, donate online or contact Ellie Parrish, Administration Manager at elspethp@safeplaceolympia.org or call 360-786-8754 x200.
Commemorative Gifts
Donate in memory or in honor of a loved one or special event. This is a thoughtful way to recognize important people and provide support to survivors of violence. To make a commemorative gift, just include a note with your donation indicating that you wish to make your donation in honor or memory of a specific individual. If it is to honor someone, please include their address so we can send them a card to let them know a gift was made in their name.
Visit our Path to Healing page for more information on ordering an inscribed brick or paver as an honorary or memorial symbol.
Donate a Vehicle or Boat
Your vehicle can help survivors! Donate your car or boat to Donate For Charity and select SafePlace as the recipient charity. Learn More on SafePlace's Donate For Charity Page.

Transfer Stocks & Bonds
Stocks and publicly traded securities are easy to give and offer great tax advantages. You can transfer stock to us electronically or mail us the stock certificate and a signed stock power for each certificate-please contact the Development office (360) 786-8754 x200 and we can work with you through the process. Appreciated securities that you’ve held for more than one year should be transferred to us directly. If you do that, you will not pay capital gains tax and you can deduct the full fair market value. If you are holding securities that have lost value, sell the stock yourself to realize the loss and take the deduction for tax purposes. Then generate a charitable contribution deduction by donating the cash proceeds of the sale to us. Ask your financial planner about giving plans that may offer tax savings while supporting our work.
Bequests and Planned Giving
Some of our donors give by leaving a charitable gift in a will or trust. Bequests are the most popular type of planned gifts. Anything you leave to a charitable organization will reduce the size of your taxable estate while helping a great cause. You can leave a specific bequest of a specified sum of money, a percentage of your estate, or a percentage of the residue to SafePlace after making provisions for family and friends. Ask your financial planner for further information about giving this way. Visit our Planned Giving page for more information.
SafePlace’s EIN number is 91-1153988.
