| Our services
Crisis Line advocacy
Trained advocates staff our 24-hour crisis line to provide
immediate support to survivors who may still be with their
perpetrator. We assist individuals with immediate domestic
violence and sexual assault crisis needs, which gives us
the opportunity to share with our clients important safety
tactics and feedback about their situation.

life-threatening danger. By providing a safe place to stay

and assess the next step in their lives. more...
Walk-in advocacy
On two weekdays, the doors of our business office are open
to people in need of emotional support, safety-planning
help, information and assistance around issues sexual assault
and domestic violence.
Support groups
One of the most effective uses of staff resources is community
support groups. By meeting weekly with other survivors,
our clients can share their experiences and assist each
other in healing, planning their futures and living lives
free from violence. Our clients have a need that can only
be met by meeting with peers who have lived through the
trauma of domestic and sexual violence. more...
Emergency needs assistance
Many of our clients leave their perpetrators with only the
clothes on their backs. We provide rental assistance, gas
cards, bus tickets, gift certificates, and more to survivors
of domestic and sexual violence to aid them in leaving dangerous
situations and getting on their feet after leaving abuse.
Legal advocacy
We assist people in obtaining protection orders and we support
our clients before, during and after hearings at the Family
Court. Furthermore, our bimonthly volunteer legal clinic combines the legal expertise of volunteer attorneys and the skills of SafePlace advocates to offer survivors services essential to their safety.
