Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Communities Specialist

Reports to:  Community Services Program Manager

Hours of Work:  35 hours/week; Monday-Thursday, Wednesday evenings and occasional  weekends required

Salary Range:  $17.67/hour-$19.89/hour, DOQ

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide community education/prevention activities to API under-served populations.
  • Provide in-person advocacy for API clients, shelter residents and helpline callers, as well as walk-in clients at community services center.
  • Facilitate the development of culturally inclusive services for API clients.
  • Create and maintain cultural resources for community and agency use.
  • Attend community and direct services meetings, and other advocate and all-staff meetings, as requested.
  • Meet regularly with the Community Services Program Manager; submit monthly program reports.
  • Perform duties as described in a culturally-relevant manner.

Community Services Program Manager

Reports to:  Program Director

Hours of Work:  35 hours/week, Monday-Thursday, occasional evenings and weekends may be required

Compensation:  Exempt, $45,538 – $51,253 annually, DOQ

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, and provide support for culturally appropriate community service programs providing direct services for survivors of sexual and domestic violence.
  • Ensure sustainable and thriving community response programs.
  • Provide and monitor systems advocacy and networking with community partners.
  • Provide supervision for community services advocates.
  • Oversee and perform the administrative functions of the Community Services program.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Executive Director, agency coordinators, employees, volunteers and interns to ensure appropriate program development and quality control of service areas.
  • Provide program management, supervision, and all other duties in a culturally relevant manner.
