Description
This is a psycho-educational group facilitated by advocate peer counselors who are not clinical therapists. This group focuses on the dynamics of domestic violence, available resources and prevention of future violence. Group members provide support and experience to others and are each other’s greatest teachers about systemic issues, resources and coping. The majority of groups focus on personal sharing, but occasionally the group requests a presenter on a relevant topic and a guest speaker shares a presentation.
